Gomoku (five in a row) on a fifteen-by-fifteen grid. You and the computer alternate placing stones on intersections. First uninterrupted line of five wins — horizontal, vertical, or diagonal.
Open threes and fours are lethal; the AI blocks obvious wins but can be outflanked with double threats.
How to play Gomoku
- Click an empty intersection to place your stone.
- Players alternate.
- Five stones in a row in any straight direction wins.
- No capture — placement only.
Strategy tips
- Play near the center early — lines need room to grow in four directions.
- Create two open-ended threats so the opponent can block only one.
- Block an opponent four immediately; a three can become two winning fours next turn.
- Watch diagonals — they are the most commonly overlooked winning lines.
- If the board feels crowded, reset — gomoku on 15×15 still has air until midgame.
