Race your fifteen checkers around the board into your home board and bear them off before the computer does. Roll two dice each turn; move one or two checkers according to the pips shown.
Hit lone opponent blots to send them to the bar — they must re-enter before moving again.
How to play Backgammon
- Roll two dice at the start of your turn.
- Move checkers toward your home board following standard backgammon direction.
- A blot (single checker) can be hit to the bar; re-enter on the opponent’s home quadrant.
- Bear off when all checkers are in your home board.
- First to bear off all checkers wins.
Strategy tips
- Make points on your side of the board (two checkers on a point) to block re-entry.
- Leaving a blot is acceptable if the return shot is unlikely — count opposing builders.
- Use doubles to run or to secure key points, not both randomly.
- Bear off efficiently: do not waste pips moving checkers already deep in home unless required.
- When behind in the race, stay back to hit; when ahead, run and avoid contact.
