TriPeaks Solitaire

TriPeaks (also called Three Peaks) is a fast solitaire variant: three overlapping peaks of cards, one waste pile, and simple rank adjacency rules. Aces and kings wrap — ace plays on king and vice versa.

Games are shorter than Klondike or Spider, which makes TriPeaks a good warm-up or coffee-break table.

How to play TriPeaks Solitaire

  • Play any exposed peak card that is exactly one rank higher or lower than the current waste card.
  • Aces and kings connect: king ↔ queen ↔ … ↔ ace wraps both ways.
  • When no peak card fits, flip the stock to a new waste card.
  • Clear all cards from the three peaks to win.

Strategy tips

  • Clear a peak early when you can — removing a whole peak opens longer chains on the remaining mountains.
  • Save stock flips for dead ends; each waste card you burn without clearing a peak card is lost tempo.
  • When two peak cards are playable, choose the one that uncovers more cards below it.
  • Watch for aces and kings on the peaks — they bridge suits and ranks and often unlock stalled boards.
  • Long chains beat cautious single-card taps: plan two or three moves ahead before flipping stock.

Common questions

Do suits matter in TriPeaks?

No. Only rank adjacency matters. Any suit can play on any suit if the rank is one step away (with ace–king wrap).
