Sea Battle is solo hunt mode: the computer hides a standard fleet (sizes 5, 4, 3, 3, 2) on a ten-by-ten grid. Click cells to fire — hits and misses mark until every ship cell is found.
No placement phase on this table — you are the hunter, not the admiral setting up both sides.
How to play Sea Battle
- Click an unshot cell to fire.
- Misses mark pale; hits mark when you strike ship.
- Ships do not move after placement.
- Win when every ship cell has been hit.
Strategy tips
- Use a parity pattern on the hunt phase — ship size 2 forces even/odd coverage logic on open water.
- After a hit, target the four orthogonally adjacent cells before spraying elsewhere.
- When two hits align, finish that line before returning to wide search.
- Corners and edges fit fewer ship orientations — they are lower-yield but sometimes necessary.
- New fleet reshuffles the hidden layout for another hunt.
Common questions
Do I place my own ships?
Not in this mode — you only fire at the computer’s hidden fleet on one grid.
