Spiderette is Spider compressed to one deck and seven columns. Build down regardless of suit, move in-suit runs together, and clear four king-through-ace sequences to win.
It is the bridge between Klondike players and full Spider — same run-clearing satisfaction in a shorter session.
How to play Spiderette
- Seven columns with a Spider-style deal; only the top card in each column starts face up.
- Build down by rank on the tableau; move groups only if they form a same-suit descending run.
- Complete in-suit king-to-ace runs remove from the board.
- Stock deals one card per column when no column is empty.
- Win after four cleared runs (one deck).
Strategy tips
- Seven columns fill quickly — protect one empty column until you need it for a run swap.
- Build in-suit runs whenever you can — this one-suit deck lets any descending stack move as a unit.
- Flip face-down cards before dealing; each stock round adds seven cards you may not want.
- If Spiderette feels easy, step to Spider 1 Suit, then 2 Suit, then full Spider.
- Compare with Scorpion for a scoop-based alternative on seven columns.
