Daily Sudoku

Daily Sudoku uses medium-density givens (same hole count as our medium level) but fixes the puzzle to today’s calendar date. Everyone playing on the same day gets the identical grid.

Come back tomorrow for a new seed — or use regular Sudoku Easy/Medium/Hard for unlimited random puzzles.

How to play Daily Sudoku

  • Standard 9×9 sudoku rules: unique digits in each row, column, and 3×3 box.
  • The puzzle is seeded by the date — refreshing the page does not change today’s layout.
  • New game on a daily page still shows today’s puzzle until the date rolls over.

Strategy tips

  • Race friends on time, not just completion — the grid is identical.
  • Retry the same daily puzzle later in the day to beat your earlier time without a new shuffle.
  • Daily difficulty sits around medium; use Sudoku Hard if you want sparser givens on random boards.
  • Note which technique broke the grid open (a hidden single, a pair) so tomorrow’s daily starts faster.
  • Combine with Daily Killer Sudoku or Daily Kakuro for a full numbers routine.

Common questions

When does Daily Sudoku reset?

When your device’s calendar date changes. The seed uses year, month, and day locally.

Is it harder than Sudoku Easy?

Yes — daily uses medium-style clue density, not the generous easy givens.
