Sudoku Easy

This is standard 9×9 sudoku with more starting digits than our medium or hard boards — a good place to learn scanning without guessing.

Each row, column, and 3×3 box must contain digits 1 through 9 exactly once. Given digits are fixed; tap a cell and pick a number from the pad.

How to play Sudoku Easy

  • Fill every empty cell with a digit 1–9.
  • No digit repeats in any row, column, or 3×3 box.
  • Use logic only — a well-formed easy puzzle should not require guessing.
  • New game shuffles a fresh grid anytime.

Strategy tips

  • Start with boxes that already have six or seven givens — singles appear quickly there.
  • When a digit can only fit one cell in a row, column, or box, fill it (hidden singles).
  • Pencil in candidates mentally for empty cells; if a digit appears twice in one box across two rows, it must go in the third row of that box.
  • Finish all obvious singles before hunting pairs — easy grids rarely need advanced techniques.
  • If you stall, pick the most filled row and list missing digits; one cell often has only one legal option left.

Common questions

How is easy different from medium or hard on SolitaireFelt?

We remove more givens as difficulty rises. Easy keeps more clues on the board; hard forces techniques like naked pairs and box-line reduction.

Can I play today’s shared daily grid instead?
