Penta Daily is a five-letter word puzzle with six guesses. Each guess must be a valid five-letter word; tiles turn gold if the letter is correct and in place, brass if the letter is in the word elsewhere, dim if it is not in the word.
The answer is seeded by today’s date — everyone gets the same word on the same day.
How to play Penta Daily
- Type a five-letter word and submit. Use the on-screen keyboard or physical keyboard.
- Gold: correct letter, correct spot. Brass: letter exists elsewhere in the answer. Dim: letter not in the word.
- Six guesses maximum. Invalid words are rejected and do not count as a guess.
- A new word arrives when your calendar date changes.
Strategy tips
- Open with a word that uses five distinct common letters (often including A, E, R, S, T).
- Use your second guess to test remaining vowels, not repeat gold letters in the same spots unless confirming.
- If two letters are brass, try them in opposite positions before repeating a dim letter.
- Hard mode habit: do not reuse dim letters — our board still accepts them, but disciplined play speeds wins.
- Compare your guess count with friends — the daily word is identical for everyone today.
